We are currently hiring for 1-2 virtual designers to join our talented remote team for early 2025.

What We’re Looking For

  • You are a gifted communicator and come across as confident, energetic, passionate, and clear on video and through written communication. You enjoy working 1:1 with people and have an engaging personality that builds instant trust and deep connections with people. You’re a people person!

  • A design degree is a big plus, but we also value experience, passion, and talent. Do you have a portfolio of beautiful 2D mood boards & 3D design renderings? Does creating 2D mood boards feel like a snap? Is creating realistic 3D room designs your happy place?

    Do you stay up with the latest design trends, products, and resources? Are you extremely detail-oriented? Does reading between the lines to understand someone’s style come second nature to you?

    Then girl we’re looking for you!

  • You are a quick learner? Confident in using & independently troubleshooting various design & communication software. Do you have a black belt in online shopping and can quickly and easily find the perfect product for your client’s style & space. Humble brag, you’ve got the internet basically memorized.

  • The first thing we notice about you is that you care about the people you’re designing for just as much as the design you’re creating. Compassion communicates.

  • We’re currently looking for candidates with at least 20 hours of potential design work availability. On average, this equals approximately 2 clients and 3 room designs per week.

    Designers must have exceptional 3D rendering and Photoshop skills. Homzie designers use MyDoma or HomeStyler software for rendering.

    The Homzie “base style” is a mix of Studio Mcgee, Amber Interiors, and Pure Salt Interiors. We want designers who can easily design in our “base” style but also bring their own unique strengths. - Ex. Kitchen Remodel Design & Traditional/Grandmillenial style.

  • We want to create a tight-knit community of remote designers here on our corner of the internet. Are you a team player with a desire to make others better by sharing ideas, asking for help, and giving advice? Do you always have the perfect gif response? Are you wanting to be a part of a remote team for the long haul? Then you’re our girl!

Homzie is a virtual interior design service aimed at taking the hard work out of home decorating,

We believe everyone deserves to come home to a life-giving environment that restores, inspires, and helps you gather the people you love together.

We’re building a thriving remote network of talented designers and decorators who want to use their passion and gifts to serve people across the country, helping them to love where they live.

We believe home is personal, and the design experience should be too.

Our Hiring Process

  • Show off your 2D mood board and 3D rendering design skills and share a little about yourself. You'll also complete a video submission! We're a virtual service, after all!

    Strong communication skills are a must for any Homzie designer. We’ll give you an example client space where you can share your design insight and personality like you would with a real client!

  • This second step in our process is pretty much a vibe check! We think you’re a great candidate and want to make sure it is a great fit all around.

  • If we’re totally obsessed after our Zoom interview, we’ll invite you to the final test project round. We’ll provide you with access to our online software for a paid test project where you’ll get to show off your skills in real-time with a test client and get a taste of our process & software!

  • You're our girl! We'll get you onboarded ASAP and start assigning you your own virtual design clients.

My Heart For Home

My deepest desire is to help people create life-giving environments within their homes that restore, inspire, and help them gather the people they love together. While working in ministry at a local church for six years, I saw just how powerful well-designed spaces were in achieving that vision. The environments we create in our homes have the power to change the way we feel, even our lives, for ourselves and others. That’s why I started Homzie in 2019.

I dreamed of helping people take the hard work out of home decorating by creating a seamless online interior design experience. Giving them the confidence to open the doors to their homes. To date, Homzie has helped hundreds of clients from across the country decorate like pros. It’s incredible to be able to turn our clients’ homes into spaces they love to share.

Home is personal, we believe the design experience should be also.
