Video Submission Instructions:
We want to see you in action! Along with your application, we ask that each applicant submit a video to help us better get to know you, your style, and how you think. Below, you'll find TWO options; select only one, of an actual client submission. You’re going to provide a mini-consult, sharing feedback, advice, ideas & suggestions about what the client should do in their space.
We want YOU to take the lead on this one!
Review the client's questions below and see the attached photos. Then, create a 5 -10 minute Loom video addressing the client's questions and desires for their space. Be sure to include any additional feedback or advice that the client may need to hear to achieve the best-looking space possible. You can use the client’s photos as visual aids and add your own. We want to see your designer’s eye in action! This is just as much about providing valuable design insight as it is about the design itself. Please be sure to record your computer screen and show a bubble with your face! We want to see your ideas AND YOU shine!
Most importantly…. Have fun with it! We want to see your personality, confidence, passion, and professionalism shine!
After you have completed your video, share the link to your video submission in your application.
Option 1:
Client Name: Sarah Kelly
Client Space: Living Room
Client Style Inspo: Studio McGee, Brooke Wagner, Allison Lind, Kelsey Leigh.
Feedback Requested: "We’re remodeling our home and want to update our family room next. This is where my family of 5 hangs out and watches tv and we entertain a lot with family coming over. We want to update this space to make it family-friendly but our style. A full remodel of the brick wall isn’t in the budget right now but want to figure out how to make it work. I don’t want to fall into a too-trendy space - I got too into the Joanna Gaines look and regret it, so I want it timeless. My husband also want’s “his chair” something comfortable and oversized. Some toy our game storage would be nice. Need to be mindful of our lab who does sometimes get on furniture and can shed.
Option 2
Client Name: Claire O’Brian
Client Space: Living Room
Client Style Inspo: Megan Stokes, Alli Henry
Feedback Requested: We have lived in our house for about two years and our current state is a mixture of old furniture with two new pieces (chairs). We want this room to be functional for our family, comfortable, feel like our home, but also a place we feel serves our company well. We have two small children - ages 1 and 3, and this room is their living room too. We spend most of our time in this space and do not keep our kids' belongings strictly in the playroom. We need more storage in this room so that we can put the toys and kids' things away. I would describe my style as traditional with maybe a little bit of grand millennial flair, but my husband is very clear on wanting to stay away from anything too "granny.” My only other note would be that we do entertain a lot, so having as much seating as possible is a priority to us, but having enough space for the kids to run around and play is our other priority. The balance of these two has been a struggle for us in this space. We can't wait for your help solving our puzzle!!
